David Lekach, founder of Dream Water, a natural sleep aid in a shot form, joins us on this episode of the Making Bank Podcast! Today, he discusses his challenges and accomplishments in competing with much larger companies in the CPG game.  

Having grown up in an entrepreneurial family, David Lekach is no stranger to grinding out long hours to build a successful company. A decade ago, he worked in investment banking during the ’08 crash in New York City. That’s when he encountered his future partner, Vincent, who brought in a “poorly packaged” bottled, natural sleep aid called Dream Water. Though the startup needed financing and rebranding, the first time David tried the product, he fell in love.  

David spent years growing the company with very little capital in a competitive field. He built out the product line to include sleep aids for muscle recovery and beauty benefits. He learned how to not only get a product into big retail stores, but also crafted a strong direct to consumer base. Dream Water became the number one health and beauty item sold in the Hudson News in LAX. In 2018, they sold Dream Water for 34 million in cash and stock. Today, David consults companies and participates in multiple entrepreneur organizations.
