On today’s episode of Making Bank, Josh is joined by actors and brothers Joe and Christian Massa to spread awareness and share the powerful impact of their ongoing video docu-series, My Suicide Story. The web series features survivors of attempted suicide who share their powerful stories of survival and now passionately advocate for suicide prevention.  

Joe and Christian made a short film together in 2016 called Pressure; it was a silent film featuring Christian as a man burdened by thoughts of suicide, and a dark, cloaked figure meant to symbolize personified suicidal ideation, played by Joe. After the film was released, Kenny, a close friend of the brothers, reached out and shared his own story of attempting to take his own life years prior. As filmmakers, they knew recording and sharing Kenny’s story online could make a powerful impact and show other survivors that they aren’t alone. Kenny’s story became the first episode of My Suicide Story, and hundreds of people have reached out to the brothers since then.
